Dental Implants

Staff Training

The staff at Dunmurry Dental Practice have undergone training in implant skills. Dr Philip McLorinan has trained in implant dentistry with the London Institute at the Nova South-Eastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Under the guidance of Dr Bob London he has acquired skills in case selection, treatment planning and surgical placement of implants. Since returning from Florida Philip has also gained experience in restoring dental implants. Philip works closely with local support from Implant Innovations®, Inc. ("3i") to deliver predictable implant solutions to his patients.

Why 3i?

Headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, with operations throughout the world, Implant Innovations®, Inc. ("3i") is recognized as one of the global leaders in dental implants and remains committed to achieving simplicity through innovation to give clinicians the tools to provide patients with the best dental implant therapy possible.

3i was co-founded in 1987 by a periodontist and an engineer. The founding clinician believed his patients deserved better fitting and looking implant restorations than could be accomplished with available dental implant systems. From that day forward, the 3i vision of dental implants has been increasingly predictable outcomes, improved aesthetic results and simpler, more efficient procedures all with the patient in mind. This vision has driven a pioneering series of dental implant innovations and industry firsts.

Today, 3i’s lines of dental implants, prosthetic components and regenerative products are among implant dentistry’s most comprehensive and well-received. We view these product lines as a continuum of dental implant therapy that enables clinicians to productively offer more people the benefits of dental implants.

Tooth Replacement Therapy That Mimics Nature

Implant dentistry is the most advanced therapy available to replace missing teeth. Dental implant restorations generally look, feel and act like natural teeth.

Dental implants may offer you important advantages compared to other treatment options: improved good health and enhanced appearance, which may lead to greater self confidence and a better quality of life.

What Is Implant-Retained Denture?

Teeth can be lost for a number of reasons, including cavities, periodontal disease or trauma.

If you are missing your natural teeth, we may recommend dental implants to replace the roots of some of the missing teeth. An implant-retained restoration will be created and placed on the dental implants to rebuild your teeth in a beautiful and natural looking manner. You can remove your teeth for brushing; but, otherwise, these will be secured in place by tiny anchors that only you and your dentist will know are there.
